Run rabbit run rabbit run run run!!

It was valentines day on Monday
Me and my beloved decided not to buy presents (wedding and honeymoon to pay for) but we did buy cards after all they dont break the bank. (mind only to then later go out for coffee and you guessed it cake at our fav coffee shop Costa mmmmmmmmmmm love that coffee so much, I ended up at past-times with my beloved buying me a lovely black and enamel locket but he bought himself a nice thumb ring so wasnt all about me, (yeah right.)
We decided that we would go to the dogs for a night out it had to be the tuesday as its only open Mondays, Thursday and Sat night when we could have made it and Tuesday was nearest to the day of  love fiver to get in.  It used to be called Brough Park but for some reason I think its changed its name slightly, now the Dogs isnt for the posh or rich or fancy it is what it is pure fun for some serious dog racing for others for us it the fun factor.
My IBS was playing up as usual (I might get one normal week yet!) so my poor beloved took the car now lets here a big awwwwrrrrrrrr no alcoholic drinks for the designated driver.
It was quiet busy for a Tuesday as we go every year round about this time and its normally quiet, there were some students Polish or German I wasnt sure forgive my arrogance I have no idea of foreign languages, anyway they were really noisy and one of the girls said
OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE
she either didnt speak good english or she was mortal drunk!! (I mean  its the dogs come onnnnn you havent won like the lottery!)
I won the first race and I thought yesssss come on this is going to be a good night oh how wrong I was.
In all we had 5 photo finishes where we could have been 1st five times and we werent it was ironic to say the least as the chances are out of 5 surely one would romp in 1st (oh and the so called rabbit is well now a lump covered in a mini Fluorescent  well coat I guess I would call it.)
It wasnt an expensive night really we only put a pound a race each and a bit more at the end, there was a moment when some of the student peops went out for rations and came back with loads of the best smelling food (just hot dogs and chips) why do things smell better than they taste whats that about!!!
My beloved offered to get me some but IBS once again stopped me who needs a diet just get that and u'll be nice and slim forever anyone out there whos a bit chubby with IBS?
The dogs were sweet with their nice little coats on but I do worry about the treatment of them you just never know what happens to the dogs when they leave the grounds. Theres adverts in their programme advertising for adoption for retired greyhounds and charity info to.
If you have ever pondered on going then try it just dont get dressed up (saturday night maybe more fancy) and theres a restaurant ajoining with a bit of a better view if you fancy a proper meal.
Watch where you sit as you may be a bit deaf when you leave what with the whoop whooping from newbies (awwrrr bless them) I must be simply be getting to old. (awwwrrr bless me!)
