Look into my eyes!!

Another weekend has come and gone I think someone nicked my weekend when I wasnt looking, I arranged for me and my beloved to go and see a hypnotist a comedy one of course nothing heavy or serious christ works serious enough!!
I wasnt sure what to expect as the last time I went was in the 80's and my beloved stated that it could'nt be like an 80's show surely.  HA! well it was exactly like that, the guy who did it was normally at Blackpool and did regular shows their but everytime I went to Blackpool I always missed it so when it arrived at my home town I was excited and booked up straight away.
Bit disapointed as there seemed to be a lot of info about him as when we first went in their were z celebs on a big tv above the stage giving tribute to the guy so it was like me me me!! wouldnt have minded if they had been uber famous but they were just other regulars who perform at blackpool so probably his bessy mates.
The show lasted too long (3.5 hrs) you know the type of longness where your arse acuallly goes numb!!
The first part was the guy doing tricks the type you've seen a million times mainly from your youth to be honest a bit like a cheap Derren Brown maybe ive been spoilt cos ive been to see him and Dam! he was good, guessing numbers and pictures pretending to read peoples minds.
So an hour of tricks that were ok!
The second half was the hypno stuff where 15 or so people volunteered to be stupid arses for a couple of hrs, there were a few people who my beloved said where probably stoodges and  as the show went on I believed this too as it was too staged and the gags from these so called every day public were to precise and like they had been done many times before (plus they didnt have our home town accent)  plus the obession from the moment we entered to leaving that in no way were we to film or take pics so makes you wonder!!
The show in all was quite funny to be honest he was probably a better comedian than performer.
A bit of updating is needed I think but maybe the hypno thing is better left back in the 80's they did the gay dancing thing and even bulls eye gameshow, shouting getting annoyed making them think they had girls name etc, dont think theres much room for that in the 21st centuary the fact the place was barely half full proves this too and the people in the place were mainly middle aged (apart from us of course)!!
